On the 22nd of March 6th Class took a trip to Bray as part of their Challenge to Change Project. For their project the girls are exploring the impact of plastic pollution on the ocean.
First the girls took part in a workshop in Sea Life Bray. During the workshop the girls got a fantastic tour of the aquarium. They also investigated the importance of protecting our oceans, raised awareness of their own relationship with the ocean and how their daily actions can positively or negatively affect the marine environment. The girls were inspired to make changes in their lifestyles and actively contribute towards solutions.
After the workshop the girls were led outside to Bray Beach. The got their gloves on and their litter pickers ready and took part in a beach clean-up. They gathered lots of rubbish and really enjoyed playing a part in protecting the oceans from plastic pollution.
